Coffee and Petroglyphs   3 comments

This is a painting I did for some friends in Summer Lake. We took them out to the desert and showed them this petroglyph. They were so inspired by it that they commissioned me to paint it with a Maxfield Parish background. I enjoyed the process very much and look forwards to many more paintings. Hope you enjoy seeing this.

  1. Cool… I like this alot… specially since we got to go and see this beautiful rock for ourselves. Thanx for taking us there. But what does a Maxfield Parish background mean?

  2. The painter Maxfield Parrish from the early 1900′s. He did big billowy clouds, pinks and blues in color and they wanted a sky in his style.

  3. Nice”A” . And the Auzies think they have dots, these are dots, yes sir… As for the wonderfull clouds with a tad of blue…Very good..I like the texture you used,,, someday you will be as the greats are now(hopefully before you cross to the other side of some where)…You can paint my sky when ever you want my dear…
